Membership Categories
A. VOTING MEMBER
Voting members are:
- Salaried or non-salaried administrators of volunteers,
- Consultants, trainers, educators, researchers in the field of volunteer administration, or
- Graduates of a degree, diploma, or certificate program in volunteer administration, or who have received certification in volunteer administration.
Voting members pay annual fees and are entitled to all rights and privileges of membership.
B. NON-VOTING MEMBER
Non-Voting members are individuals who are interested or who have experience in volunteer management. Such members pay annual fees and are entitled to all rights and privileges of membership with the exception of voting and holding office.
C. HONORARY MEMBER
Honorary lifetime membership may be conferred for outstanding service to the Association or the field of volunteer administration by unanimous vote of the Executive. Honorary members pay no fees and their membership is exclusive to AVRBC.
How to Apply
To apply as a new member, you must submit a fully completed application form and a $75.00 cheque made payable to AVRBC.
Since the membership period is based on the calendar year, all memberships will expire on December 31st unless renewed. Voting and Non-Voting Members who leave the membership for a period of three years or more will be required to re-apply as a new member.
