About AVRBC

AVRBC is an organization of professionals in British Columbia dedicated to promoting leadership in the management of volunteer resources and to providing a supportive network for all its members.  AVRBC was incorporated as a society in 1975, and its five main purposes are:

  • To advocate for and promote the administration of volunteer resources as a recognized profession
  • To promote education in the administration of volunteer resources
  • To encourage and maintain communication among members
  • To advocate for the value of volunteerism
  • To represent and support its members

AVRBC is divided into six regions:  the Fraser Valley, Lower Mainland, Okanagan, Thompson, Vancouver Island North, and Vancouver Island South.  For more information about AVRBC activity in your region, please contact the AVRBC Regional Coordinator and feel free to drop in to any regional meeting as a guest.
